If, like me, you have sensitive skin, then you’ll be all too familiar with that feeling of disappointment that takes over when your skin reacts to a new product that you were so desperately hoping to use. Chances are that this happens quite often, which is why people with sensitive skin are so hesitant about trying new formulas.
However, sometimes you’ll stumble upon a brand that’s simply too intriguing to resist, which is what happened to me with Avinichi. This brand is all about superfood-infused skincare products, with their formulas containing some truly unique ingredients that you’d struggle to find elsewhere.
So, I decided to take the plunge and order up some Avinichi products for myself. Read on to find out what my sensitive skin thought of them!
The Noni Mousse Cleanser
The first Avinichi product I tried was the Noni Mousse Cleanser. My skin reacts quite easily to cleansers but since this one contains several complexion-soothing ingredients, I was cautiously optimistic.
Turns out, I fell in love after my very first use. The lather that it creates cleanses my skin beautifully, more so than other cleansers. Most importantly, it didn’t cause any sort of reaction in my skin. There was no tingling or burning, which commonly occurs when I try a new cleanser formula.
I believe that this is down to a few different things. Firstly, this cleanser is sulfate-free. Sulfates are a popular cleansing agent but are known for causing irritation. This cleanser also contains several ingredients that work to calm the feeling of inflammation. Between moringa seed oil, chamomile extract, calendula extract, and argan oil, it’s hardly surprising that my skin feels refreshingly relaxed and balanced whenever I use this product.
The Noni Pore Purifying Toner
I tend to stay away from toners because many of them can be quite drying. However, I also know that the right formula can be very beneficial to sensitive skin. The way in which a toner rebalances the pH on the surface of the skin can help to reduce the appearance of redness, irritation, and more.
That’s why I decided to give the Avinichi Noni Pore Purifying Toner a try. It has a short ingredient list, which sensitive skin will appreciate. Even better, most of those ingredients are hydrating botanical extracts. From aloe vera leaf juice, which is known for how it calms the complexion, to cucumber fruit extract, which is often a go-to for soothing angry-looking skin, its ingredient list is undeniably appealing.
The effect that this product has on my skin is just as impressive. It’s the first toner I’ve used that hasn’t caused any irritation. Instead, it feels cooling and revitalizing. It leaves my skin looking bouncy and glowy while giving it a much softer-feeling finish.
The Eye Rescue Phyto-Serum
There are certain ingredients that people with sensitive skin should always have in their skincare routine, and peptides are one. That’s what initially drew me to the Avinichi Eye Rescue Phyto-Serum – its multi-peptide content. These ingredients are fantastic for leaving the skin barrier feeling stronger and more resilient, which is exactly what sensitive skin needs.
Again, just like the other Avinichi products that I chose, this one is also filled with ingredients that soothe the complexion. Calendula, camu camu, aloe vera, green tea, sodium hyaluronate, and more come together to revive the look of the skin without leaving it feeling irritated. The only ingredient that I was unsure about was ascorbic acid. Being the purest form of vitamin C, it’s loved for its potency. This is why it’s often avoided by those with sensitive skin.
However, I needn’t have worried. The ascorbic acid didn’t leave my skin feeling irritated in the slightest. This was perhaps down to the other ingredients that I mentioned, which would have canceled out the look of any inflammation that dared to arise. Instead, this serum never fails to leave the skin around my eyes looking smoother, softer, and brighter. It gives my entire complexion a much-needed lift!
The Noni Night Repair Cream
With the Avinichi Noni Night Repair Cream being formulated with several of my favorite ingredients, I couldn’t resist giving this moisturizer a try. It has been designed to hydrate and perk up the complexion while you sleep, so that you wake to skin that looks plump, smooth, and soft. Since my sensitive skin often looks tired and blotchy in the mornings, this cream sounded perfect for me!
Some of the noteworthy ingredients in this moisturizer include jojoba seed oil, shea butter, chamomile extract, aloe vera leaf extract, noni fruit extract, vitamin E, and sodium hyaluronate. In theory, it’s an amazing blend for lavishing on your skin overnight. In reality? It worked even better than I expected.
Firstly, I love how this cream feels decadently rich. At the same time, it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy afterward. I could tell that I was onto a winner after my very first use of it. The next morning, my skin felt unbelievably silky, and that continued on through the day. The same occurs each time I use this cream, which is why it is now a regular in my evening skincare routine!
Is Avinichi a Good Skincare Brand For Sensitive Skin?
Since I only tried a handful of Avinichi products, I can’t speak for the brand’s entire range. The products that I did use were selected based on their ingredient lists – although there were several ingredients that were new to me, each one also contained ingredients that my skin already knows and loves. This is likely why I experienced such great results from these products, with no sensitivities whatsoever.
If you’re curious about giving Avinichi products a try on sensitive skin, do as I did. Have a read through ingredient lists and pick formulas that you think your skin would be receptive to. The fact that these products contain very few irritants and numerous complexion-soothing compounds makes this much easier. Chances are that you, like me, will quickly fall for this brand and will soon be planning your next purchase!
