I don’t know about you, but I don’t often think about my neck. I spend plenty of time contemplating every curve of my face. I agonize over every enlarged pore, every wrinkle, and every age spot that crops up. You would think that nothing but perfection laid beneath my chin. But the reality is, all the years of neck neglect are beginning show. My skin is often dry and has lost some of its firmness.

What brought all of this to my attention was an email from a kind representative at Jelessi. When she told me about their beauty technology products, I was most certainly intrigued. Immediately, I asked, what do you have for the face? “We have a great device for that, but have you tried anything for your neck?” The question hit me like a ton of bricks. I replied, “Truthfully, I haven’t done a thing for my neck. I guess it’s about time I did.”

When I received the device, it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. It’s peculiar pearlescent and silver design combined with its odd shape were a bit off putting at first glance. Once I began to hold and use this dream machine, I realized its design was quite ergonomic, a sweet relief to my arthritic hands.

The Neck Solution offers three speed modes that also correspond to the color of the LED light used. The highest gear is known as the Magnetic Heat Lifting mode. This mode promotes “the growth of fibroblasts and collagen, increases blood circulation, helps smoothen out fine lines.” Given the state of my neck, this was most certainly the mode for my needs.

Despite it’s complicated appearance, the Neck Solution is fairly simple to use. First, I layer on a strong anti-aging moisturizer over my neck and shoulders. Then I turn on the device, switch it to the highest gear (the magnetic heat lifting mode) and then gently move the device over my neck in upward strokes for about 5 minutes. It feels like an awfully long time, but after so many years of neglect, I have a lot of time to make up for.

It’s still a bit early for me to remark too much on the results of this product. My neck does look smoother after using the device but I can’t be certain whether it wouldn’t look just as well with just a neck cream. I’ll have to experiment to see for myself. The packaging does suggest that using a cream alone leaves your skin’s natural hyaluronic acid sitting on top of your skin rather than penetrating it.
