There’s nothing quite like the thrill that comes from unboxing a new beauty product, something I’ve done quite a few times recently due to my Introstem skincare splurge. This is a brand that has pioneered the use of grape stem cells in skincare products and, from what social media and beauty blogs have shown, the results that their formulas produce are pretty impressive.
Of course, this gave me slight FOMO. I wanted to experience these results for myself, so I spent some time browsing Introstem’s online store before choosing four products to buy (this wasn’t easy as there were quite a few more that I wanted to try!). Read on as I share my thoughts on each one.
The Introstem Stem Cell Mousse Cleanser
I’ve actually purchased several cleansers over the past few months and now have quite the collection. The reason I keep buying more is that some of them irritate my sometimes-sensitive skin while others don’t seem to cleanse properly. I was struggling to find the Goldilocks of cleansers, until I tried Introstem’s Stem Cell Mousse Cleanser.
This cleanser contains a number of ingredients that aren’t often seen in cleansers, such as moringa seed oil, chamomile extract, argan oil, and grape stem cells. These ingredients are all superstars in their own way. However, they have one major thing in common; they all work to reduce the look of inflammation and redness, calming the complexion. As a result, my skin doesn’t feel at all irritated when I use this cleanser. In fact, it’s so gentle that I can use it twice a day, yet it still manages to completely clear my skin of dirt and other impurities.
The Introstem ThermoStem Serum
I’ve been doing lots of research lately on how to prevent my skin from feeling sensitive and irritated. Peptides are an ingredient group that keeps cropping up, so I was delighted to find that the ThermoStem Serum from Introstem contains a blend of multiple peptides.
This serum has been designed to firm and brighten the complexion, and it most certainly did that for me. It’s super hydrating too – you can feel this as soon as you use it for the very first time. My skin immediately felt plumper and softer, and regular use has kept it looking that way.
After using this serum for six weeks, I can attest to how it’s more than capable of reducing the appearance of fine lines. I had a few creases developing around my eyes and they’re now barely visible!
The Introstem VitisCell Facial Shield Cream SPF 30
I’m all for making my skincare routine as easy and convenient as possible. So, when I saw the Introstem VitisCell Facial Shield Cream SPF 30, I knew I had to have it. It’s a two-in-one product – a moisturizer as well as a sunscreen, and I loved the idea of one less step to follow in my skincare routine.
Usually, SPF moisturizers don’t really appeal to me because they veer more toward the SPF side. This means that they lack many of the ingredients that I seek out in a moisturizer. However, this formula has a fantastic ingredient list. Grape stem cells, green tea extract, vitamin A, vitamin E, and aloe vera all come together to create an action-packed cream.
Does it work well? 100%. Granted, I bought these products at the start of fall when UV rays weren’t quite as strong. However, I also took this cream on vacation with me to Hawaii, where I spent a significant amount of time under the hot sun. As I mentioned, my skin can be quite sensitive and sun exposure usually leaves me red. With this cream on, there was none of that. Instead, my skin sported a sun-kissed glow without undergoing any damage.
Stem Cell Rejuvenation Facial & Eye Mask
Face masks often irritate my skin, so I was hesitant about buying the Stem Cell Rejuvenation Facial & Eye Mask from Introstem. There are 14 masks in this box – enough to last a year! However, I followed my gut and went with them, and I’m so glad that I did!
These are hydrogel masks, which are meant to be amazing for sensitive skin. Hydrogel in itself is extremely hydrating, and this mask has been soaked in a serum that takes those hydrating properties to the next level. It’s brimming with sodium hyaluronate and glycerin, along with Irish moss powder. The latter is known for how it calms and soothes the complexion, making it perfect for anyone dealing with sensitivities.
This mask also contains a compound called glucomannan, which I hadn’t heard of before. I did some research and learnt that it’s another name for konjac root. Not only does it hydrate and reduce the appearance of wrinkles but it also helps to lower the feeling of inflammation.
I’ve used these masks twice so far and absolutely love them. There are separate sheets for the face and the eye area, which means that the mask fits neatly over my face and covers the entirety of my skin. My skin always looks so much softer and brighter after I remove these sheets, with those effects lasting for several days.
Final Verdict on Introstem Skincare
After experiencing so much success with the above four products, Introstem quickly became one of my new favorite skincare brands. I have my eye on several more of their products and will be adding those to my skincare routine too over the next few months!
