Dressing for a 15-hour flight can be tricky, especially if you want to look fashionable but still be comfortable.

You picture celebrities looking perfect but casual and you always ask yourself one question.

How do they do it? (No, really, how?)

How do they manage to pick perfect items of clothing with just the right accessories to make them look like they are on a runway?

But, the fact of the matter is – not everyone is fit to endure everything celebrities do in order to look their best, anytime, anywhere. So you have to first see for yourself to what lengths you are willing to go for fashion.

Which type of traveler do you want to be?

Why is this decision important? Well, it all comes down to your preferences. If you are somebody who doesn’t mind wearing heels at all times and dresses up no matter whether you go to the store or a club,
your choice of a style to look up to will most likely include celebrities who like to wear couture even on a plane.

However, if you are somebody who would wear sweatpants to work (and God knows many of us are), if only the company didn’t have a dress code, let’s face it, heels and couture will not be your thing.

But don’t you worry, these celebrity looks we have picked for you will give you just the right idea of what you can wear for a flight and look like you’ve come out of a fashion magazine.

Bella Hadid

A perfect blend of fashionable, yet casual, Bela Hadid has been on every list of this sort for quite some time. And there is a reason for that – her taste and style are simply impeccable.

Most notably, a lot of the fashion bloggers and stylists adored a particular airport look she donned on her way back to New York. She wore a white puffer coat, a black turtleneck and jeans of the same color, which went along just fine with her Prada bag and Converse shoes.

Everyone went wild. (Well, not wild wild, but there was a fair amount of buzz generated.)

She basically epitomizes youthful elegance with just a touch of edginess.

She also reminds us that wearing black in every situation is a no-brainer. You can never go wrong with black.

Gigi Hadid

The Hadid sisters are clearly on fire, on the runway and off it.

One of Gigi’s most admired airport looks included a black and white combo, paired with a plaid jacket and a white bag. On her arrival in Tokyo, Japan, she was spotted wearing black Vector leggings and a white Reebok T-shirt. Yet another reminder that less is more.

Even though such airport looks often seem unattainable to us, Gigi shows us that it is possible to dress smart but casual.

Did you know that her usual airport outfits include tank tops, leggings and sneakers?

She tries to convey that real-life celebrity style which pleases most of her fans. Why? Well, they can easily recreate her look without having to spend thousands of dollars.

Victoria Beckham

Let’s be honest, when we speak of casual clothes, you know who does
not pop into mind?

That’s right. Victoria Beckham.

As her Spice Girls name would suggest, she is anything but casual.

She’s always dressed to the nines, elegant but simple. It’s true, you won’t find her in leggings or sweatshirts at the airport, but hey, that’s why she is an adored fashion icon around the world.

British Airways even declared her the World’s Best-Dressed Traveler.

Always in heels, carrying expensive handbags many of us would die for, in a wide range of suits, shirts and dresses. Her signature touch when she landed at JFK were her leather pants combined with white pumps and a tailored camel coat. And, of course, she finished her outfit with the sunglasses from her eyewear collection.

You can like her or hate her, but you must admit – she knows style.

Kendall Jenner

The Kardashian/Jenner sisters have taken the world by storm. Whether they are selling lipsticks, wearing tight, impossible-to-get-out-of suits, or being on a special diet, the world is bound to follow and do whatever they see them do.

So it is no surprise why Kendall Jenner started to get so much attention from the start of her modeling career. Even though some of the sisters’ fashion choices look questionable at times, Kendall always seems to be spot on.

Especially at airports.

Strolling through the lines of photographers waiting to record her every move, note down every word and judge every fashion choice she has ever made, she clearly manages the pressure well. She coordinates her clothes so that she always has two paired items of clothing on her.

For example, on her way from the airport she was spotted wearing a nude jumpsuit paired with an eye-catching orange duster coat and a black bag. Comfortable but stylish, like her usual style.

Rihanna

As always, Rihanna doesn’t disappoint.

She doesn’t do basic. Never has, never will.

Her outfit, hair, and accessories are always perfect. The creator of the Fenty fashion line believes that in order for the buyers to buy her clothes, she has to wear them herself. Her impeccable style choices truly transform a simple walk from the airport into a unique runway show.

Leaving the JFK, she was seen wearing baggy sweatpants, a baggy sweatshirt and a sparkly pair of heels you just have to have. Even her suitcase is out of the ordinary, being see-through so you could clearly see what is inside.

She switches up her airport styles, going from completely relaxed sweatpants and baggy sweatshirts, sweet girl-from-next-door hats, jeans and stylish bags to “I don’t care what you think” outfits. And we love her for it.

Selena Gomez

Being a frequent flyer and travelling all over the world, Selena Gomez has extensive experience in how to dress properly for both the hot destinations she visits to shoot the many magazine covers she is on and dressing  for the lower temperatures on the plane.

Wherever she lands, she is bound to have her picture taken by the paparazzi, so she knows she has to bring her A-game.

What generally draws the most attention are her bags, always perfectly combined with her outfit, which is a true example of her unique street style everyone wants to copy.

An especially noticeable outfit worthy of a fashion icon was her black low-cut jumpsuit paired with a black sleeveless blazer and black sandals. Again, Selena wouldn’t be Selena if she hadn’t finished that look with a perfect choice of a bag. If this doesn’t spark your imagination on what to wear for a flight, we don’t know what will.

Zendaya

If you are the aforementioned casual dresser, then Zendaya’s airport style will definitely be your cup of tea. She likes her hoodies as much as she likes her leggings, so it is no surprise meeting her at the airport wearing just those.

In order to separate yourself from the sea of sweatshirts on a plane, do what she did and try to wear, for example, a camouflage hoodie she wore at the airport in LA.

She truly takes comfortable to the next level.

She wore her hoodie with a pair of black leggings and black trainers, while she finished her easygoing and comfy look with a black baseball cap.

Serves also as a perfect paparazzi shield… Well, sort of.

Jennifer Lopez

This 50-year-old singer and dancer is rocking every outfit on stage and off. Not only does she have the body most 20-year-olds would die for, but she also has an impeccable sense of style.

She is a perfect mixture of trendy, chic and comfortable when it comes to dressing for a flight, and there is one outfit that especially stands out. Even though she is someone who wears leggings quite often (let’s not kid ourselves, who wouldn’t with that bod), her choice of pants came as a surprise – she chose a pair of skinny jeans!

And, we have to admit, jeans are definitely not something we would choose if we were going for comfortable.

But comfy or not – the woman simply knows how to rock them!

She paired them with a black turtleneck and a striped Brunello Cucinelli cardigan, finishing her look with Alexander McQueen sneakers. And as a proof that she knows her accessories very well, she had a Hermes bag in her hand and a pair of aviators from Quay on her head. Who knows, maybe this will inspire you enough to give your skinny jeans a chance.

Jennifer Aniston

Cute, loveable, funny… there is simply nothing that Jennifer could wear that we wouldn’t like.

Scarfs around her neck became her trademark, and it was precisely this item of clothing that she wore at LAX. The white scarf with a black trim perfectly rounded up her outfit for that occasion. A pair of skinny cropped jeans, a white top and a black duster top is all you need to achieve that oh-this-is-just-something-that-I-put-on-but-I-look-fabulous look.

Wedges are also one of the regulars in Aniston’s daily outfit choices, and this occasion was no different. Strappy black Burberry wedges were a perfect addition to an already spotless look. As for accessories, she continued to keep it simple, wearing only gold hoop earrings, a pendant necklace and a gold watch. Simple but elegant, this is the look that would appeal to everybody, and you won’t make a mistake entering a plane looking like this.

Idris Elba

The 2018 People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive really knows how to pull off an airport look. His style is both traditional and fashion forward.

He likes to stick to the neutral tones like those of black, grey, white and navy, whether it is a Henley or a T-shirt. Fitted coats and slim-fitting trousers are his usual daily choices, which he rounds up with a pair of boots, his signature touch.

This occasion was no different: black Henley – check, black slim-fitting tracksuit – check, black fitted leather jacket – check. But instead of boots he wore a pair of Nike sneakers which were a more than an adequate choice. To spice it all up, he put on a wide-brim grey hat. Leave it up to Idris Elba to put an unusual spin to classic men’s fashion. Well done!

David Beckham

David Beckham must have been aware when he met Victoria that he needed to step up his game if he wanted to be on par with her in the fashion world.

Ever since they became a couple, they have amazed us with their fashion choices (sometimes, dare we say, even baffling us somewhat). But one fact holds true for the Beckhams.

They are a true power couple of fashion.

Even now, when they’re not in the spotlight that much anymore, they manage to prove that they still have it.

As for David’s wardrobe choices for a flight, he usually opts for a more of an elegant, but casual look. He was spotted in Hong Kong dressed in a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt, and a simple sweatshirt. A simple combination but truly effective, topped off with a sweatshirt, because David is both a practical and a stylish flyer, all wrapped in one.

Dwayne Johnson

Well, there is not much you can say about him except that he is, by all definitions of the word – perfect! He is one of those actors who isn’t afraid to experiment with his style, receiving praise left and right.

And really, the Rock has a sense of style many envy. He is known for sometimes pulling off edgy looks on and off the carpet. Other times, he goes for simplicity and comfort. But, everything he wears fits him perfectly, so we can say without a doubt that he knows how to “rock” not only the red carpet but also the airport runway.

In this one instance, he put on a pair of chino pants and paired them with a simple white T-shirt, and he nailed the whole look with a Harrington jacket and suede boots. The pendant necklace really gives that something extra to the whole look, but what rounds it up perfectly is that big, heavy leather bag.

He walks out of the plane and all we can do is watch that superhero go in slow-mo.
